Manually-controlled machine for joint face dry milling and machining

DESCRIPTION

High-capacity effective Rottler SM series machine for joint face machining is a perfect solution for machining shops. Two machine modifications increase efficiency of both heavy-duty diesel engine repair shops and small shops.

All SM series machines use the same tools and fixing devices which allows for the versatility; machine configuration is fast and easy. Final surface machining quality is provided by means of feeding speed adjustment and machining with standard equipment.

CAPABILITIES

• Heavy-duty spindle. It is designed for use with CBN (cubic boron nitride) and PCD (polycrystalline diamond) instruments. Big diameter, hard chromium plating, use of triple angular-contact precision bearings guarantee long service life and high-quality machining.
• Compact design. Machine with a solid stand and guideway multi-layer guard boards is the most compact machine for joint face machining available on the market.
• High-quality final surface machining.Belt-driven stepless precision ballscrew actuator for speed and feed regulation provides final machining of modern CH multi-layer steel gaskets with roughness of 2 to 6 Ra.
• Dry milling system. This reduces grinding fluid consumption and facilitates cleaning after operation! The milling cutter enclosure delivers dust and shards into the vacuum system which is supplied as an option.
• Vertical zero-return function. The cutter always returns to a zero position vertically for the next process cycle.
• State-of-the-art technological innovations in control systems. Advanced automatic control systems allow for machining of composite surfaces.
• Safety and long service life.Multi-layer steel guard boards cover and protect guideways, which increases machine service life.
• “Floor-to-floor” machining cycle takes little time. Head machining takes less than 2 minutes, and less than 8 minutes is spent for a couple of V8-block heads.
• Versatility. It is possible to machine surfaces of large diesel heads, such as CAT3406 and 3412, and diesel packs, such as DetroitV71 and Mercedes OM440.
• Big table with T-shaped grooves. Mechanit flat solid cast iron table with T-shaped grooves allows to use any fixing devices and to machine any parts; jacks and clamping devices can be mounted in any area!
