DESCRIPTION

FA series machines are a world's production standard. F7A model designed for boring of a wide variety of motor units from small diesel packs to 8-cylinder packs guarantees high accuracy throughout the service life. F7A model is also perfect for separate liner adjustment shops. F7A is the most efficient and powerful boring machine available on the market. Due to its simple configuration and button control the operation of this machine is easy.

Rottler FA models allow to program automatic working cycles. All you need is press the Cycle Start button. The machine will start boring holes to the specified depth. When programming new liner machining, the exact liner length must be specified to eliminate the need to shorten the liner after installation as well as to save time. The program saves up to 100 tasks, including feeding configuration, spindle rotation speed, boring depth, block clearance inner height, and centre hole machining depth. The device combined with a LED indicator allows to perform positioning relative to a vertical zero mark in increments of 0.0001. Optional software for blind hole machining allows to stop the machine after centring to install the cutting tool into the head.

CAPABILITIES

  • Speed. All FA models are equipped with high-efficiency AC servo-engines. An independent feeder allows to set up the desired feeding speed in increments of 0.001"–0.012" (0.25–3 mm).
  • Accuracy. FA series machines are equipped with precision ballscrew actuators to control the feeding speed and cutting tool position, which allows to install the tool with accuracy up to 0.0002" (0.005 mm).
  • Durability. Reliable Rottler spindle and bearing design guarantees machine stability to machine large engine liners during the entire service life. F7A machines are equipped with short spindles for small engine pack machining (motorcycles, motor boats etc.).
  • Operational flexibility. Feeding configuration selection allows to increase machine efficiency to the extent possible. Increase the feeding speed when boring simple big diameter holes. Decrease the speed when machining liners or chamfering. F7A machines allow to bore holes of 1.5" (38 mm) to 5" (127 mm). Hard-alloy chamfering, edge cutting, off-set drilling and ring-shaped boring tools are available.
  • Automatic performance. FA model line machines allow to program cycles for boring and automatic centre hole machining. Up to 100 programs can be saved in the machine memory. Each program includes boring depth, spindle and feeding rotation speed configuration. Automatic performance allows to reduce the number of errors and free the operator to perform other tasks.
  • Reliability. F series machines are equipped with a high-speed wedge-shaped belt drive system which together with two independent spindle rotation and feeding motors allows operation without a gearbox.
  • Economy. Rottler FA series high-speed machines perform boring of the pack twice as fast compared to other machines. Advanced wear-resistant and low-cost cutters guarantee reliable machine operation at high speed. Cutters do not need grinding; due to their low cost they are a good choice for cylinder boring.
