DESCRIPTION

F98Y machine is designed for block machining of large engines like CAT 3516 and 399, QSK 78, MTU 4000 V16, Waukesha 7042 etc., excavation equipment, in mining, oil and gas, energy industries, on industrial ships.

All F90Y series models have a number of specifications to increase machine efficiency. Fast tool exchange maximises machine versatility and operational flexibility as it enables boring and surface machining within the same configuration. All F90Y series machines combine capabilities of drilling, grinding, aligned holes boring and universal machines. Movable column and spindle are driven by precision ball screws and AC servo-engine. Optional software for automatic machining cycle and accessories allow to perform full unattended machining of work pieces. After setting up the program and pressing the Start Cycle button, the operator proceed to other work while the F90Y machine performs the work piece machining and aligned holes boring without operator's intervention.

  • Big diameter spindle.F90Y machines can be operated with a big diameter hard chromium plated spindle, high-precision angular-contact bearings and automatic lubricating system.
  • Machine slideways undergo induction heat treatment and are covered with turcite, a special material with low friction coefficient. Additional pressure-fed air reduces friction and increases service life
  • Anti-friction precision ball screws and AC servo-engines provide high-accuracy positioning and high feeding speed of machinable work pieces.
  • Air-operated spindle tool holder allows to replace cutting unit in a few seconds, which increases the efficiency and saves operator's efforts. The machine changes from boring into grinding mode in 15 seconds.
  • Automatic spindle head tilting system for surface machining provides back stroke for perfect final machining.
  • Increased clearance between spindle axis and machine column provides for machining of large work pieces.
