AMC-SCHOU K1500 - OD Grinding Machine |
DESCRIPTION
AMC-SCHOU K1500 crankshaft grinding machine is designed for grinding of main and connecting rod journals of crankshafts for diesel and petrol engines, as well as for other mechanical equipment with integrated crankshafts. In addition, it can be used for OD grinding of unspecified parts of standard steel grades (hard and natural).
The machine is made of super-tough castings to guarantee the operation stability and long service life. All bearings have oversizes for maximum reliability. Working surface anti-friction coating of the units eliminates interrupted feed at the lowest travel speed. Quick and accurate machine operation is provided by revolving tables with an integrated 4-way adjustment system. Angular travel with a fixed pitch of 30 ° and 72 ° with additional smooth adjustment of +/-1 ° provides for perfect adjustment when performing standard operations. The operation simplicity of units connected by ballscrew mechanisms that guarantee the absence of counter reaction during stone feeding, crankshaft installation for rod journal grinding that takes few seconds.
CAPABILITIES
- Shaft installation system. Integrated 4-way chuck position adjustment system assumes smooth, accurate and fast actions of the operator. Travel with a fixed pitch of 30 ° and 72 ° is enough for any crankshaft. Additional smooth adjustment of shaft position of +/-1 ° angularly and +/-0.3 mm edgewise.
- Accurate shaft installation. During shaft installation extremely high accuracy is achieved: main rod journal axis misalignment is not more than 0.010 mm on the shaft length, which can be measured with a specific instrument.
- Shaft reinstallation. 4-way chuck adjustment system allows to use centres with cylinder-type root clamping directly to pistons which reduces the shaft reinstallation time to few seconds with shaft installation accuracy of 0.010 mm.
- Bearings. Double conical SKF bearings of the headstock and tailstock are lubricated and sealed for the entire service life, which guarantees continuous machine operation over the course of decades.
- Super-tough structure. Continuous size measuring during the operation, super-tough stays, including additional heavy counterweights and a journal grinding device. Complete hard super-tough structure for any crankshafts, from smallest to heaviest.
- Ballscrew actuator. Provides for simplicity and accuracy of stone drive unit operation without counter reaction.
- Guide anti-friction coating. Provides for simplicity, accuracy and long service life (decades of maintenance-free operation) of stone and table drive units without counter reaction.
- Headstock. Hydraulic motor in a spindle drive provides for smooth shaft rotation actuation, smooth speed adjustment and long service life (decades of maintenance-free operation) of a unit, including due to of absence of side force acting on bearings on the drive side. Quick and simple counterweight adjustment with a pressure gauge for any shaft.
- Tailstock. Quill hydraulic drive provides for quick and simple shaft installation, as well as smooth adjustment of the centre hydraulic clamp with force control provided by a pressure gauge. Gear rake mechanism for tailstock travel along the table.
- Grinding wheel head. Quick hydraulic grinding stone advance/retract with smooth speed adjustment. Grinding stone reentry accuracy is equal to 1 µm, no counter reaction during stone advance, braking and slow advance near the part. Special design of grinding stone spindle bearings and a centralized guide lubrication system provide extremely long life service of the unit without any adjustment or maintenance. Simple and quick one-minute replacement of the grinding stone.
- Hydraulic station. Standard oil cooler on a hydraulic station with automatic hydraulic fluid operating temperature maintenance.
- Grinding fluid tank. The tank has a modular sliding design which makes tank cleaning and fluid changeout take only a few minutes.
- EAM electronic meter with out-of-roundness control. It is necessary for quick and accurate work. Two indicators on the display: for current size (readable to 1 µm) and for ovality. Universal gauges for measuring of all crankshaft sizes during machining. Reset button to modify size or to set a new size. Automatic stop when a set size is reached.
