DESCRIPTION

Contour-BB machine is designed for tuning, repair and medium-batch production of cylinder heads with seats of any material with the diameter of 13–80 mm.

The machine is highly efficient, and allows to machine heads in a relatively short time due to a small number of necessary adjustments. The availability of one machining tool set and no need for tool change for continuous machining of different block heads speed up the operation.

Simple and reliable Contour-BB is characterized by NC-controlled process along two axes.

One of the Contour-BB machine functions is mixed machining of 65 mm guides.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURES

• Digital cutter feed control along the axes using a FIXED-TURNING® technology is performed by roller connections and servo-drives of the latest design, which provides the micron-accurate feed.
• High air pressure is maintained within the machine working head in order to protect accurate mechanisms and components from dust and facings.
• Vertical travel (250 mm) is performed on guides providing easy feed and rigid fixation of the machine working head without unbalancing the spindle. More possibilities with higher accuracy, only with NEWEN®.
• Spindle inside the machine working head is centred on air pads relative to the pilot. Centring time is programmed. Automatic zero-point return is performed by air locks.
• The control panel is equipped with touch keys and is covered with a replaceable sticker. There is an electrically-controlled handle for linear travels. Accurate and reliable
• Machine spindle is mounted on maintenance-free high-accuracy bearings. Powerful transmission also operates on high-accuracy gears.
• SGC200M, universal clamp for CH fixation. It provides for quick and reliable fixation of practically any cylinder head regardless the valve guide tilting. The CH is positioned on a required level in a required position for different operations.
• Patented CH clamping system facilitates the operation and does not load the part during the operation due to independent clamps and spherical collets.
• Electrical and electronic components are linked by handy connectors. Automatic air ventilation and filtration in electronic cabinets during each machine operation. NEWEN® electronics development and implementation.
• Inner-stress-free fabricated stand has industrial protection against any chemical agents (high-accuracy stabilization during welding).
• Mounted low-voltage lighting (cold light).
• The NEWEN® FIXED-TURNING® technology makes use of patented process solutions: no friction, no clear joint, maintenance-free cutting geometry - all of these allow for highly accurate machining from year to year. Special collet grip for pilots.
